This weak looking affair can go to Lady Doris Watts ahead of Bob's Flyer, Baileys Applause, and Azuree. Mick Channon still has his team ticking over nicely, and Lady Doris Watts is taken to make up for what was a disappointing performance on her all-weather debut at Southwell recently. Sent off as the favourite, she was expected to make the drop in grade pay, but could do no better than fifth. However, she is still only lightly raced, and given that she had been taking on better company prior to that poor effort, she should make her presence felt this time. Bob's Flyer has already done that, having opened his account here in October in similar company. He owed most of his victory that day to Kieren Fallon though and will do well to repeat the feat. Bailey's Applause was beaten by a Channon inmate, Wiltshire, on his last start at Brighton in September, while Azuree failed to make any impression in nursery company on Turf and is hard to fancy as well. Bets are best kept to a minimum, with Lady Doris Watts earning a tentative vote.
