        Verdict

        Love Is Blind has been progressing along the right lines and put up his best performance to date when a close runner-up over 6f in a similar heat at Chepstow late last month. Now rated 78 for handicaps, Emma Lavelle's charge will be unfortunate not to lose his maiden certificate at this level. Avondale Lad showed plenty of promise last time and is also open to plenty of improvement so rates the main danger. Gilded Cove has the benefit of experience on this surface and will appreciate this trip while Compton Alice, from a yard with a fine strike rate here, looks best of the remainder.
