A wide open affair here in which many have chances on there best form but the TEAMtalk selection is Mandoob. The gelding from the Brett Johnson yard has won his last two races on this track over a shorter trip. He takes a step up in trip here and is rising in the weights but he gives the impression he will stay this far and if he does he will be hard to beat. Bobby Kennard rates the main danger, having won well last time out when defeating Mr Gisby but that was over a longer trip, and he may not have the toe to lay up early over this shorter trip. Vandenberghe was a fair second behind Another Diamond last time out and a reproduction of that effort off this same mark would see him go close. Bright Spangle is also worthy of consideration but has never won over a trip as far as this. Barkby could also go well as he was a good second over course and distance last time out behind Distant Cousin and that horse has since franked the form in a better race. Wethaab is well in on his best form but he takes a lot of driving and he may need even further now. Reminiscent has had plenty of chances and is readily opposed
