City For Conquest has been given a chance by the handicapper but, along with The Thrifty Bear, has been done no favours with a wide draw and preference is for Crusader's Gold who gets the vote. The selection struggled on a soft surface last time but should be better suited by the return to the sand and has a decent draw in stall three. The William Haggas-trained Ravish is similarly well drawn but she has given little cause for optimism, while Hotham may struggle to give weight away all round. Bel Cantor has run better of late and he is another to consider but Crusader's Gold has plenty going for him today and he is preferred.
