Roger Charlton rarely sends one to Wolverhampton these days, so the hint is taken with Meikle Barfil, who faces a straightforward task in coping with the likes of El Potro and Lake Chini. It will also be noteworthy to see if any money comes for Pack Of Lies, who hails from a yard in good form and she won't have to be anything special to make the frame in this company. Lake Chini showed plenty of promise when chasing home Tucker in a Newmarket maiden last October. However, the fact that he has only raced once since then does suggest he hasn't been easy to keep straight and he may be a prime candidate to suffer from the bounce factor this afternoon. El Potro at least has experience of the surface and has shaped as if he can pay his way over this trip. However, quite whether he will be good enough to cope with Meikle Barfil on terms is another matter and he may have to wait for another day. The booking of Jamie Spencer is an obvious plus for the selection and, even though his mount is no world-beater, he could easily be different class to this lot.
