In depth

Verdict

Plenty of unexposed types over the distance and therefore many potential improvers in the line up including our idea of the winner, Budoor. John Dunlop is a past master at producing late maturing sorts who appreciate middle distances and this daughter of Darshaan looks no exception. Racing over an inadequate nine furlongs on her return at Leicester, she was badly outpaced when the tempo increased over two out before staying on in pleasing fashion to be fifth, beaten five lengths, behind the progressive Systematic. She will appreciate the emphasis being placed on stamina and is capable of winning off her current mark. Broadway Banker won nicely on the all-weather recently and is another open to plenty of improvement while there should be little between Prins Willem and Zarza Bay on their running over course and distance last week on the revised terms.
