In depth

Verdict

SILENT FLAME made a winning start in handicaps when scoring in the soft going at Salisbury. The runner-up has subsequently won so the form looks solid enough and she can go close again. Marlay Park won a maiden race on fast ground at Bath earlier when beating Major Force while the returning Lion Ring makes his handicap debut on his first start for new connections. Keep Right On drops down in trip and the unexposed Chipstead returns to 6f.
