Lord Nellson has an obvious chance to follow up his recent success at Wincanton although Forever Dream and Preacher Boy represent strong opposition. Lord Nellson had some pretty inauspicious form figures prior to his win at the track over hurdles and off a BHB mark of 90 - he has to be a serious player if negotiating the larger obstacles safely. Having missed plum mounts elsewhere - Christian Williams is likely to be a man on a mission when partnering Preacher Boy. Made In Montot was a failure when Preacher Boy won his maiden start under rules but his jumping was adequate and could not be faulted. Forever Dream paid the penalty for consistency last year and looks a tricky customer. He won an appalling race at Taunton in October but there has been very little else to cheer for his backers. Lizzie Bathwick represents the yard of Paul Keane. She did not do a lot wrong at Folkestone and has to be in with a shout if reproducing that run here. Regal Bandit was always bred to be a chasing type. There was no support for him in the ring at Taunton and he will need to have come on for the run to figure in today's race. Ballyfin and Barton Hill were declared as 2nd Preference runners at the time of writing. Lord Nellson secures the nod on the proviso that he can translate his hurdles form over to the larger obstacles.
