This is not a particularly strong race and it can maybe fall to Berengario ahead of Icarus Dream and Joint Authority. Much as the selection is set to drop by a pound in the future, he ran pretty well from today's mark behind the progressive King Eider at Huntingdon last time. He had earlier scored over course and distance from an 11-pound lower mark. As we say, this is not a strong opener and it will be disappointing if he is not on the premises when it matters. Icarus Dream is just a three-year-old but his hurdling record is two from three. The horse he beat last time, Blaise Wood, won a seller earlier this week and, with his rating seeming fair, he should go well. Joint Authority is conceivably well handicapped on the best of his form and might go well on his first run for a new stable, but the others seem to have to improve to feature. Once again, then, the selection is Berengario.
