Verdict

Our Dougal returned from over a year off to land a maiden over timber at Down Royal in June before two narrow defeats over fences. He fell when in touch at Listowel last month and it shouldn't be long before he gains compensation. BALL D'ARC was in superb form over timber earlier this year, scoring at Listed and Grade 2 level. He wasn't beaten far by Three Stars on his introduction to fences at Listowel before unseating his rider at Fairyhouse then again finishing a close second to Three Stars in a Grade 3 at Punchestown. This looks his opportunity to gain his first success over the bigger obstacles. Archive looks the second of Henry De Bromhead's entries after finishing last on his chasing bow at Galway, though he ran much better than his eventual finishing positions suggests. The remainder look to have it all to do though Prickly has a good success ratio on the Flat and over hurdles and makes his chasing debut.
