The presence of 'F's' and 'U's' in the form profiles of horses at this stage of their careers is always and off-putting feature when sorting out a selection in Novice Chases, but Mister McGoldrick confirmed their are races to be won with him in this sphere when chasing home Full Irish at Hexham at the start of this month and he is given the vote over his stablemate Forum Chris and the equally unexposed Garde Bien. However, Little Docker and Chief Wardance have been found a good opening to pay for their respective connections' day-out by nicking the forecast slot, so this could well develop into a more competitive affair than first appearances would suggest on paper. That said, the past form shown by Mister McGoldrick is much better than anything achieved by his rivals to date and, with no disrespect intended towards the Wetherby stewards, the six-year-old can use this as an educational round before going on to better things.
