Archie Babe, Magic Mistress and Montevideo look set to fight out the finish here with the former just getting the vote. The selection was well beaten off at Doncaster last time by Tik-A Tai in a handicap. He may have been a little high in the weights in that event and will be much more at home here just giving a small amount away due to his course and distance victory back in November. His close second behind Mambo here also reads well and he looks to hold strong claims. Magic Mistress could be the main danger, she was a decent performer on the flat, rated 80 at one stage and hails from the same the Nicky Henderson stable, who also sent out Mambo. Montevideo is the representative of Jonjo O'Neill and this son of Saddler's Wells was well supported when well beaten at Leicester last time. He has obviously shown something at home so expect a better effort this time. So a tricky start to proceedings but we will side with Archie Babe.
