A 5lb rise in the weights since successful over course and distance last week, leaves Goblin with more to do but Don Cantillon's three-year-old is in good form at present and is preferred to Cause Celebre and Desert Image. The last mentioned has been placed in each of his three starts and is entitled to be thereabouts again but may need help from the handicapper before he wins again. The Barry Hills-trained Cause Celebre did not progress as much as expected when stepped into handicap-company for the first time at Haydock earlier this month but may do better now. Both Salamba and Brough Supreme have to be respected on their first starts in a handicap but Goblin sets a decent standard and it will take a good one to beat him.
