Haatefina would surely have beaten Red Four at Doncaster had she not ploughed through the last. She was only beaten a neck and is 7lb better off here but had earlier been beaten 10 lengths by MAHICAN over this track and trip. John Ferguson's gelding can only improve on that and is also fancied to see off the challenge of Aintree scorer Hawk High, who didn't look straightforward when beaten on soft ground at Sedgefield last time. Stiff Upper Lip, who won twice on the Flat, should be the pick of the newcomers ahead of Rock Diamond.
