Polar Gunner should see off this modest bunch with Dance With Wolves and Speed Venture likely to dispute for the forecast slot. Malcolm Jefferson's charge dotted up over course and distance nine days ago and while the handicapper has given him a hefty whack for that performance - this isn't the greatest of contests. Dances With Wolves looks to be gradually coming to hand for Paul Keane. A mark of 99 is perhaps a little harsh but he jumps adequately enough. Speed Venture is one of the more experienced runners here. Its certainly true that he doesn't win very often but he ran a solid enough race at Bangor-On-Dee when finishing second to Dark Society a couple of weeks ago. Lago is interesting from the James Moffatt stable. He had bits and pieces of form for Mick Easterby although he has to overcome something of an absence. Heavenly Storm is back here after an abortive chasing campaign. Polar Gunner is the one for us.
