In depth

Verdict

Royal Commission's fourth over C&D last month looks the best form on offer here, though points winner Walkabout Creek should improve on a recent sixth at the track. It will be a surprise if the winner of this isn't one of several interesting newcomers, however, with RUGGED JACK making particular appeal. His trainer has a 33 per cent strike rate in bumpers here and this son of Bonbon Rose is related to a host of winners in France and Italy. Day In The Sun, Further More, Heron Reef and The Mumper would all be worth noting should they attract market support.
