A large field goes to post for this novices hurdle but it can be soon narrowed down to only a handful of runners. Longshanks, Barcham Again, Elgar and Hatsnal are all sure to have there supporters but we prefer to take a chance on Majority Verdict. The gelding from the Henry Daley yard was a good second behind Crystal D'anyay last time under similar conditions and a reproduction of that effort would make him hard to beat. Barcham Again rates the main danger on his second a couple of runs ago. However that was on fast ground and he has since disappointed on soft so for that reason he is opposed. Longshanks is another that has definite place claims on his latest second over course and distance last time. Elgar would also be worthy of consideration on his best form but he has been very lightly raced of late and has obviously had problems of late. Of the remainder Hatsnall has shown a modicum of ability and he could run well at a big price. The remainder need to improve on all known form to take a hand in the finish.
