In depth

Verdict

Orphina is the tentative suggestion in a tricky finale with Cordage, Thistle and Robbie Can Can others that could figure. The selection hadn't shown a great deal on her first six runs over hurdles but she showed improved form to bustle up Winsley Hill at Exeter last time. The winner has run well since and, as the pair were clear of the third, the form may just work out. Thistle and Cordage, who is having his first run for a new yard, both won weak races over course and distance last time and are entitled to consideration. Robbie Can Can is another course and distance winner who was entitled to need the run when disappointing in April and his yard is in better form now. Hemington has the odd piece of form to his name, Immense may well be able to show improved form on his handicap bow but we're content to return to Orphina.
