raced keen, tracked leaders, ridden over 3f out, no extra final 2f
never better than mid-division
in touch, ridden over 3f out, weakened over 1f out
tracked leader, led over 4f out, headed over 1f out, no extra final furlong
pulled hard in mid-division, pushed along over 3f out, switched right 2f out, no impression
led, headed over 4f out, every chance 2f out, one pace final furlong
missed break, towards rear, pushed along halfway, headway under pressure over 1f out, stayed on strongly inside final furlong, nearest finish
in touch, ridden over 3f out, stayed on to lead over 1f out, clear final furlong
slowly into stride, towards rear, never dangerous
No more than an average maiden and nothing really grabs the imagination on what they have shown so far. But the Mick Channon team have been rewarded with a steady stream of winners over the last few weeks and it may be worth giving Fools Entire another chance to shine here. Dry Wit caught the eye in defeat on his debut and is very much respected against the selection. Whereas moves for Rigonza and Abrogate will also be interesting. The same sentiments apply to the James Given-trained newcomer Miss Ladybird, who will not need to be anything out of the ordinary to play an hand at the finish. But the previous experience of Fools Entire could be the boost the Fraam gelding needs before he is targeted at the big sales races later in the season.
