      Verdict

      GERTMEGALUSH can land this weak seller at the main expense of Lairy, Pong Ping and On The Piste. The selection ran with promise when finishing fourth behind Vilnius at Catterick last month. He blew the start that day which cost him his chance, but he was the subject of market support and from a good draw he should be up to making amends this evening. Lairy hails from a yard in good form so he has to be respected. His breeding would suggest that he will be suited by slightly further than this in time but the yard do well with their sprinters and he can go well on his debut. Pong Ping was disappointing on her racecourse bow at Southwell but she is sure to have learned plenty for her debut and in a race as weak as this she can't be discounted. On The Piste is another who might find this trip a little on the sharp side while Reel Credit Crunch clearly has ability and is another to consider. However, this looks a good opportunity for Gertmegalush who should prove tough to beat.
