In depth

Verdict

Another uninspiring contest but it also presents a winning opportunity for Lago Di Levico who earns the TEAMtalk vote. The five-year-old made a promising return when looking likely to prevail in a novice at Hereford last month before a mistake at the second last cost him a winning chance. The son of Pelder still managed to finish a close runner-up and should prove hard to beat if reproducing the same level of form. Irish import Frentzen lost his way on the level and Buckby Lane has shown little over timber so a bigger danger may prove to be Jake The Jumper who has claims on his second at Warwick in May if fit for his first start since.
