Some powerful yards are represented here and BURJ HATTA makes most appeal. There's no doubt he's a frustrating sort having been placed in all five starts this season but he's expected to handle the surface as Saeed Bin Suroor has a 50 per cent strike rate at this course in the last five years. Crystal Etoile looked one-paced on her handicap debut at Sandown last month and Discovery Bay has also cut little ice in three starts in handicaps. Indian Mist is Roger Varian's first runner at this track and he drops back in trip, but Empyrean has been well beaten in a couple of outings on Polytrack and may do better in handicaps. Ampleforth looks best of the rest.
