With the bottom four being out of the weights, we will look higher for the winner and it might come in the shape of Tuvalu, who gets the shout ahead of Gidam Gidam, King After and Fair Along. Starting with Gidam Gidam and Clive Brittain is a man to be feared at this level and Gidam Gidam, seemed to show some improvement last time at Lingfield. He is sure to improve again for that effort and should be granted all due respect. King After is another to hold claims if he can transfer the best of his all-weather form to this surface, and he is closely weighted with Tuvalu based on their 10-furlong Lingfield runs of January 8. Based on 10-furlong Lingfield runs of January 26, Fair Along is just held by Tuvalu, although Paul Blockley's runner did not enjoy the best of runs that day and it is conceivable that he can fare better today. From the Pat Haslam camp, the lightly-raced Vocative is one to watch out for in the betting, while Optimum was in the ruck in that January 8 race we have referred to, but he seemed to show improved form last time and might improve again. Overall, though, for the winner, we return to Tuvalu.
