        Verdict

        Dual-purpose performer Copplestone is selected to beat the likes of Ipledgeallegiance and King Priam in the claimer. Copplestone gained his last victory over hurdles at Hexham in May and has had a fruitless campaign since then. However, he did finish fifth in a class F handicap on the level at Catterick in October, and although today¿s race is over a shorter trip, that still puts him in with a major chance here. Ipledgallegiance beat The Fairy Flag at Ayr in July but has struggled since and showed little at Wolverhampton last time. He too has a squeak in this company though, along with King Priam, although he has not visited the winner¿s enclosure since successful in this very race 12 months ago. A small wager on Copplestone is the recommendation.
