    Verdict

A weak maiden and no surprise if Paul Cole's newcomer Impasto, a son of Grand Lodge out of a winner in France from the same family as Marienbard and Solo Mio, proved good enough at the first time of asking. Dharkan will be sharper for a recent debut at Newmarket while Futuristic and Oblige are both worth noting in the betting exchanges on their first start.
