Red Baron Dancer, Special Cuvee and Swingfire look the three to concentrate on here and the vote goes to Special Cuvee. The Diktat colt has had just the two runs to date and was not far away last time at Great Leighs. He tries this surface for the first time but his pedigree offers hope that he will handle conditions, and he can put his experience to good use and score. Red Baron Dancer went close on debut at Thirsk in a seller. That was on firm ground, so conditions are very different here, but his yard remains in good form and he may be able to make the grade against some better company than he met last time. Swingfire benefited when stepped up to this trip last time and Bob Cowell had his first winner for some time at Thirsk on Tuesday night, so his runners are on their way back, and he is respected. Little else makes much appeal, and Curtain Up is perhaps the most eyecatching of the debutants, though Mick Easterby is not noted for debut juvenile winners. Connections of Special Cuvee can enjoy the winners' champagne here.
