Another open affair in which many have chances. Hades De Sienne, Little Brown Bear, Lanmire Tower and General Claremount are all sure to have there supporters, but we prefer to take a chance on Lord Capitaine. The gelding from the Howard Johnson yard goes paticullay well at this track and won well last time when defeating Little Brown Bear. He is worse off at the weights with that rival here but he won with so much in hand he is taken to confirm his superiority. General Claremont is from a top yard and goes well on the ground but his best form is over a slightly shorter trip. Lanmire Tower is well weighted on his best form but he is prone to making mistakes when full pressure is applied and for that reason he is over looked here. Hades De Sienne has been in good form of late but those efforts have all come on soft ground and this much faster surface is not sure to suit. Of the remainder Fatehalkhair could go well but he has only ever won at his beloved Sedgefield.
