Verdict

UP AND GO looked like turning into a really promising performer when slamming Aaim To Prosper and the rest of a decent Ascot field over timber in February last year. His attentions were turned almost immediately to fences, for which he undoubtedly houses the size and shape. Hitherto, he's rather disappointed, failing to oblige in four starts over the larger obstacles but has been found a strong opportunity here to start the new campaign in winning form. He was rated no less than 34lb higher over hurdles than Irish raider, Sultana Belle, who looks the obvious challenger along with winning pointer Rosie De Berlais, the latter having looked a hunter chaser of some promise before failing to complete on two of her last three outings. Nevertheless, it would be disappointing if either of the aforementioned pair were good enough to trouble the selection.
