Verdict

Santenay looks to have an outstanding chance of adding to his Kempton walk-over success as he faces only one opponent in Sheer Genius. The Paul Nicholls-trained selection won a valuable hurdle here in May and achieved a rating of 157 over the smaller obstacles. He displayed promise in each of his first two chasing runs before Kempton. He could hardly have been found a better chance to secure nearly ¿5,000 in prize money. His sole opponent is the Mark Pitman-trained Sheer Genius, who has not raced for 624 days. He was useful over hurdles, winning three times and achieving a rating of 133 before succumbing to injury. He ran with promise on his chasing debut in October 2001, but has that long absence to overcome.
