Boy's Hurrah has won his last two starts over course and distance but, as he has to run from 5lbs out of the handicap, Howard Johnson's gelding has to race off an 11lb higher mark to day and preference is for Bathwick Annie, who gets the vote over Lucky Bay. The last mentioned made a satisfactory reappearance behind Boy's Hurrah last month and has every chance of reversing form on the revised terms. Lou du Moulin Mas was further behind that day and appears held. Old campaigner Ad Hoc showed signs of a return to form here last time but probably needs more help from the handicapper and of more interest may be Mercato who has gone well here before but has an absence to overcome. Venetia Williams has here string in good from at present so King On The Run has to be respected but Bathwick Annie is in form and potentially still ahead of the handicapper so gets the vote.
