With the Hannon team striking form, Aviation is just fancied to get his head in front in this trappy handicap; stablemate Councellor merits respect, as do Courageously, Celtic Spa, Penny Island and Accomplish. The latter is a lightly-raced filly who was a winner on the sand earlier in the year and shaped well enough when third on turf last time. Penny Island had bits and pieces of form at two and the Alan King stable has really struck form in the last week or so so he can be fully expected to improve for his reappearance sighter at Windsor. Celtic Spa has finished runner-up on her last two starts over course and distance, and had a big gap back to the third on the most recent occasion so must surely be thereabouts. Courageously was a neck ahead of Aviation on his last run at Windsor, and although they reappear on the same terms here, we fancy Ryan Moore's mount to reverse the form. He has since put up a better performance when a close fourth at Epsom, despite not appearing to enjoy the track. Kieren Fallon has been booked to ride Councellor, who finished a fair third in a Classified Stakes at Haydock last time and is certainly respected but our tentative vote goes to Aviation.
