The three-year-olds Kindling and Royal Flynn have claims on form but it is never easy for the classic generation against their older rivals at this time of year and a better bet looks to be Richtee, with Mister Arjay rated the best of the remainder. The selection probably found the ground too soft when disappointing at Hamilton last time but previous form when winning at Musselburgh is solid and, off just a 2lb higher mark today, he looks well worth a punt. Archirondel is gradually dropping to a fair mark but could do with some more help from the handicapper, while Mr Maxim has run well in two starts this term but now faces older horses for the first time and may struggle. Mister Arjay is another that has slipped to a fair mark and has to be respected, while Royal Flynn is probably the pick of the three-year-olds but Richtee has solid claims at the weights on this ground and gets the vote.
