The William Haggas-trained Atlantic City is bound to be popular with backers having found one too good in each of his last three starts but the son of First Trump is only rated 71 and preference is for the less exposed Galvanise, who gets the vote over Murbaat. The last mentioned is trained by Alec Stewart and ran green on his debut here over a mile behind Lucayan Legend. He should improve for the outing, as should John Gosden's Government, who finished last of the 15 runners in the Newbury maiden won by Credit last month. Micky Hammond's Aston Lad is strictly held by Atlantic City on running behind What's Up Doc at Newcastle but is another open to improvement. The vote though goes to Galvanise. The Barry Hills-trained colt was made favourite for the maiden at Doncaster won by Gatwick on the opening day of the new season, where he kept on well in the latter stages giving the impression that this longer trip would suit. That form looks the best on offer and, if fit enough for his first start since then, Galvanise may well be good enough to open his account.
