In a tightly-knit affair on paper we will take a chance on Charlie Tango to be too good for Dium Mac, Apache Point and Joshua's Gold. The selection has enjoyed both his career wins over course and distance and clearly has a liking for the place. Fast ground suits and he is back on a winning mark, so we will play to small stakes. Apache Point is another course and distance scorer is capable, but who would probably welcome a bit of juice in the ground and may just be a little high in the weights still. Dium Mac is steadily dropping down the handicap and is capable of a decent run from this mark of 55, though his form suggests that he will need to go down a few more pounds before he breaks his duck. It's difficult to absolutely rule out quite a few of these, but one that stands out with place claims is topweight Joshua's Gold, who is another that the handicapper looks to have the measure of, but who would certainly be capable of picking up some prize money. But Charlie Tango has a fair bit going for him and he has the call here.
