L'AMI has never won one of the big Festival races over a cross-country course but should put matters right here after his excellent second to A New Story in the Glenfarclas Handicap at Cheltenham when several of these were behind. He looked like winning at the last and though he had no answer when the winner swept past he was conceding huge amounts of weight to fourth-placed Another Jewel, the sixth Freneys Well and seventh Sizing Australia, who look to have little hope of reversing the form. Bailey Breeze will be attempting a banks course for the first time and hasn't run since July but Wedger Pardy and Pennybar, who occupied the minor placings in the opener here on Tuesday, will be fit enough though probably not quite up to this class.
