    Verdict

Sandymac gets the vote here ahead of Senior Whim and Red Acres. Gary Moore's runner makes his chase debut today in a race that is politely described as weak and after three fair runs over hurdles in Ireland at the back-end of last year, he may be worth siding with in this open race. Senior Whim was involved in a farcical contest at Stratford a fortnight ago and unseated his rider early on. His jumping will need to improve if he is to make amends today, whilst Sett Aside has plenty of experience over fences but ultimately is yet to win in 15 starts. Spring Book has been beaten out of sight in recent runs so must be opposed, so of more interest may be Red Acres who looks sure to appreciate today's faster conditions. Getting weight from the whole field, Gary Moore's Sandymac gets the vote.
