Verdict

Nicky Henderson looks to have found a good opening for First Love in this moderate heat and he is taken to land the odds at expense of Mr Woodentop and Tribal Dancer. First Love has always been held in high regard by his trainer and he would not be risked over this trip confidence was not high. But considering that he has been done for toe on more than one occasion, the race does look to be as much of an experiment as it does a winning opportunity. Mr Woodentop is unexposed over fences but needs to improve to master the Henderson horse.
