Verdict

Native Coral and Kid 'Z' Play look the two to focus on here, with the vote just going to Native Coral. Much as the selection did not achieve a great deal in winning on his chasing debut, the manner of victory of this winning Irish pointer strongly suggested that a race of this nature was well within his grasp. We will stick with him in the hope that he can prove the point today. However, Kid Z' Play's chasing form, which includes two wins here at the minimum trip on his last two starts, makes him a worthy adversary and he is granted all due respect. A good winner in Germany three years ago, Maitre Levy is hard to fancy on his hurdling form, although he is a recent winning pointer. Finally, Kombinacja is a dual hurdling winner winner that has shown some promise over fences, so his chance is not dismissed but Manoubi has something to prove following his chasing debut. Overall, though, the vote stays with Native Coral.
