In the finale, Soft Spoken gets the call ahead of Champagne Only, with the advice being to watch the betting with regard to the others. Irish raider Soft Spoken improved from run one to two to finish second in a similar event in Ireland in May and, with this being a modest race overall, has to be given a good chance. Champagne Only has plenty to like on breeding, while Hardknott has shown a modicum of ability, and Hush Now Is another with something to like on breeding. Finally, Polobury showed some promise on her debut but, in keeping with Echo Drag, who wears a tongue-tie on her debut, Miss Campanella and Tie Pin, their basic breeding seems okay but their purchase prices were small. Once again, the selection has to be Soft Spoken.
