Verdict

Affluent is related to juvenile winners so commands respect on his debut however John Quinn's half-brother to Zomerlust, SOLIS, is fancied to improve on his debut eighth and take this at the main expense of Silent Wonder. There wasn't much promise in the selection's first run at Pontefract as he was never a threat to the leaders. Beaten 12 lengths at the line, the form doesn't look too bad and a ton of improvement is expected. The form horse to beat is Silent Wonder who is officially rated 73. Second on three of his four starts, his latest run behind Harry Patch reads well and there is unlikely to be a newcomer of Harry Patch's ilk in this line-up. Breakevie and Mister Tinktastic probably need to improve on their first runs, whilst You'relikemefrank needs watching in the betting. Time to take a chance on Solis to lead them home.
