Inglis Drever made little impact in sprint maidens last term but is bred to appreciate middle distances and looks capable of winning off his current mark judged on a narrow defeat (clear of the remainder) on his recent return. However, he has yet to race on ground this quick and will start at prohibitive odds so looks worth opposing with Solomon's Mine. The son of Rahy came back to form with a fine effort in defeat last time and should go close off a fair mark for each way backers. Red Wine stepped up on previous form to score last time on the all-weather and may improve further for this longer distance while Archirondel and Perfidious are closely matched on recent Brighton form and are others to consider.
