Verdict

The field can be whittled down to just a handful if the official figures are to be used as anything of a gauge, with the Mick Channon-trained Analyze a stand out back at this level. He was far from disgraced in better company last time and cannot be discounted from just a 5lb higher mark than for his victory at Leicester two outings ago. He has already proved that he acts at the track and is very much the one to beat. Ascari is weighted to go close to reversing the Leicester form with Analyze and is an obvious danger. Miss Glory Be and Fife And Drum are also capable of getting involved at the finish and will not go down without a fight.
