Gebora, Palouse and Chevalier Bayard are just three in with a chance here and we will give the verdict to the last named. Brendan Powell's gelding bounced back to form with an impressive victory over Our Man Dennis at Hereford earlier this month. That was over a slightly shorter trip but he has also shown decent form over this distance in the past. Gebora represents the powerful Martin Pipe stable and this winning hurdler made a poor start to his chasing career here a week ago. However Martin will have taken him home for some schooling and we expect a much improved performance this evening. Palouse has finished runner-up in two similar contests and it will be difficult to keep this one out of the frame again. Early Edition and Sol Music are two others worthy of a mention but it could pay to follow Chevalier Bayard now he has hit form.
