Ravenswood is potentially well handicapped but Martin Pipe's gelding has often disappointed and, at the likely odds is probably best passed over, so preference is for Freedom Now, who gets the vote ahead of Bohemian Boy. The selection lost no caste behind the progressive Handy Money over what was probably an inadequate trip at Wincanton last time and should be better suited by the return to today's trip. The Richard Phillips-trained On Y Va comes here fresher than most and is relatively unexposed so has to be respected, while Bohemian Boy is lightly raced and could improve but may want a softer surface to bring his stamina into play. By Degree has failed to take so fences and now reverts to hurdles, while Nick's Choice can be expected to run his usual good race and the form of his latest effort behind Holland Park has been given a timely boost. Charlie Mann's Versus lost no caste in defeat behind the progressive Celtic Son at Kempton last time but faces no easy task on his debut in a handicap and preference is for Freedom Now, who should appreciate the return to this trip.
