Verdict

Another small field goes to post for this beginners chase and the main protagonists appear to be Ragdale Hall, IntoxIII and Rathnally Park and we will take a chance on the last named. The gelding from the Tony Martin yard won well last time out at at Wexford when defeating Jilan, he is sure to have been well schooled for this his chase debut and he will not be far away with conditions in his favour. Ragdale Hall rates the main danger he was the best of these over hurdles and if he takes to the fences he will not be far away. However he is not over big and lacks scope so for that reason we will oppose him on this occasion. Intox iii is also worthy of respect but his form was regressive over hurdles and the switch to fences will have to bring about some marked improvement to reverse his fortunes. Of the remainder Ven Ottery had every chance when taking a crashing fall last time out if his confidence has not been effected he would have definite place claims but we are happy to stick with Rathnally Park.
