Historic Place, Indian Pipe Dream and Diamond Circle are the three for the shortlist here and preference is for Historic Place. John Gosden¿s Indian Pipe Dream is in fine form as are the other runners from the yard and he has won two of his last three starts. Those wins came at Haydock and Sandown and despite going up the handicap he will go well. Diamond Circle is another runner in form. He won well here last time and is lightly raced. He is open to further improvement and is progressive. Historic Place though gets the vote. His only career win came in a bumper at Ascot last year but his second to Colloquial last time at Newbury came in a competitive handicap. He is well treated at the moment and Historic Place can land his first race on the Flat.
