In the opener, Shevchenko is selected ahead of Princess Valerina and Kashmir Lady. Shevchenko's third to Broghill on his debut over seven furlongs here reads well as the winner has since finished third in a good juvenile event at Ascot. Shmookh showed improved form from his debut to finish third over course and distance last time and that affords him plenty of respect. Teasing was behind him in that race. On the face of things, Kashmir Lady showed a lot of improvement on her second run, which came last time and, having finished fairly close to what seemed some decent fillies. Similar improvement on her third run would give her decent claims. Princess Valerina made eyecatching late headway to finish second on her Windsor debut and has to be given plenty of thought. Whichever of the Barry Hills pair that Michael rides would be the fancy. Finally, Little Eskimo cost 120,000 euros; it is interesting to see Eric Alston running a two-year-old first-time up at Newmarket; related to the likes of Gringo and Uno, Pleasure Pursuit should be given some thought, while Dancing Jest showed some promise on her debut and should improve today, and Woodins Way and Zain are not entirely ruled out of things. All things considered, the selection is Shevchenko.
