    Verdict

A smashing race, with many given some sort of chance, including Sweet Indulgence, Soulacroix and Land 'n Stars, but the vote goes to Larkwing. Larkwing is developing an unlucky tag, but with some reason. With a clear run, which he did not get last time (although Soulacroix and Land 'n Stars are closely weighted with him on that form), he would have gone close and he can set about proving the point today. Turnstile was beaten off his revised mark last time, but he could still go well. Bayeux goes up in trip as he drops in the ratings, although he has disappointed in his last three starts, while Peak Of Perfection would go well if back to last summer's form. Lets Roll is just two pounds above a winning mark, while Sweet Indulgence has been hit by the handicapper for winning here over 12 furlongs last time on good to soft going. If the going is like that again, you have to consider him strongly. Dundry might struggle off his revised mark, while Quizzene has been disappointing on his last two runs but, if you can forgive him those, he had looked promising before that. Finally, Baddam comes here in good heart, but an eight-pound rise for his latest win will not make life easy. This returns us to the selection, which is Larkwing.
