        Verdict

        The Dark Angel filly Ebtsama cost 105,000gns and is a full sister to a juvenile winner so warrants a market check. Zain Claudette defied market expectations with a promising second at Goodwood and should have more to offer but the vote goes to the Godolphin newcomer SACRED JEWEL. By Dubawi and the first foal to race of smart sprinter Priceless, she was a 420,000gns yearling and it is not uncommon for Charlie Appleby to run his two-year-olds in headgear if he thinks it will aid their cause. Red Joan is also bred to win races while Dubai Jewel was very green at Sandown and is surely capable of much better over this extra furlong.
