In depth

Verdict

Quenelle D'Or has run twice in this grade and was well beaten on both occasions. Peripatetic wasn’t winning out of turn at Goodwood but has a lot to find on official ratings as does stable companion Voodoo Queen, who has won here on both the Rowley mile and July course. SEA SILK ROAD (NAP) beat Queen Of The Skies at Nottingham in May and Eternal Pearl at Goodwood in May. She then finished a close-up second to Magical Lagoon in the Ribblesdale at Royal Ascot before finding 1m2f too short at Deauville. Poptronic won in this grade at Newcastle in June but is penalised for that success.
